"A Study on Christianity and the Law of the Land"
Join the Institute on the Constitution through a twelve lecture series by Constitutional Law Professor John Eidsmoe of Thomas Goode Jones School of Law of Faulkner University, Alabama along with other selected materials by David Barton of Wallbuilders.
The program is intended to reconnnect Americans to the history of the American Republic and to their heritage of freedom under law. By exploring the fundamental principles of civil government upon which our Constitional Republic was founded, and by studying the original intent of the founders, we can begin to recover the lost freedoms that require knowledge and vigilance to protect and defend. Today, many Americans are surprised but delighted to learn that we were founded as a Constitutional Republic of sovereign States with a federal government of purposely limited powers based on Biblical principles. The recovery and application of these principles is necessary for the reclamation of the Republic.
The course will be held on Monday evenings at 6:00 pm beginning January 11, 2010 and continue for twelve weeks, ending March 29, 2010. The location will be Trinity Presbyterian Church 5236 Vogel Rd, Evansville IN.
The course is hosted by Thomas Weddle, he may be contacted by phone at 812-962-3704

Student Testimonials and Comments:
I feel fortunate that I was able to attend your "Institute on the
Constitution" course with my son in early 2007. The course study was very
educational for both of us. It provided both of us with a much better
understanding of the Biblical origins, fundamental beliefs, and governing
intent that our country's founding fathers had in mind while they penned
our Constitution. In order to understand individual rights and the
government's role in our life, it is important to understand the original
context and limits that our government placed upon itself. The course
material was organized and presented in a format that was both efficient
and concise. It would have taken me years to compile the volumes of text,
study them and then summarize them into your "Institute on the
Constitution" course. This class was a blessing for both my son and I. Our increased knowledge of the Constitution and having a better
understanding of its interpretations has been very rewarding. I would
like to take the course again when my daughter can attend. Thank you for your dedication of time and efforts required for presenting the "Institute on the Constitution" course.

The IOTC was an excellent course on the Constitution. I appreciated
the fact that it is approached from a Christian Perspective. The videos
clearly explain the basics of the Constitution and its development.
Thomas added a lot of information on the development of the Constitution
as it codified the few hundred years of legal and political improvement
that preceded it. He further explained these concepts in terms that made
it understandable and showed how the Kings of England went beyond their
legal powers and became tyrants. This helped me to understand that the
revolution wasn't as much a rebellion as it was a neccessary end to return
the liberties of the people, that had been the Christian legal heritage of
the British Empire for centuries. Attending this course made me more
aware of the need to understand personal legal standing. Thus becoming a more responsible citizen and helped me to think more consistently as a Christian with freedoms, rights and responsibilities. I would commend this class to anyone wanting to develop a more comprehensive understanding of law and a better understanding of liberties. Now that I know it is being held I plan to attend and will bring my high school aged children.

I wanted to get back with you as to the impact of the course from the Institute on the Constitution (and your teaching). I would highly recommend the course sponsored by Institute on the Constitution - it is well worth the time spent, especially with the ever growing attack on our Constitution. I have always been a huge proponent of the Constitution, but more from a second amendment perspective. This course solidified my respect for the Constitution and its framers, and also gave me a new outlook that transcends one single issue such as the right to keep and bear arms. This course also gave me a new understanding of the impact that both scripture and English common law had on the framing of our Constitution. It is hard to summarize all I learned in such a short summary.

We highly recommend taking the Institute on the Constitution Program. Thomas Weddle gives an accurate and concise account of our country's history and of our Founding Father's part in the formation of our U.S. Constitution. Also presented is clear evidence of Divine intervention in the creation of our country. It is an exciting class of how our country was truly founded.

The Institute on the Constitution course teaches students how to live
and think like Christians in a day when the line between the City of Man
and the City of God is blurred. Thomas Weddle does an outstanding job
introducing the class to the thoughts, theology and writings of our
founders. The class helped me understand the liberties I have in Christ
and my duties as a citizen in God's kingdom. I offer high praise for the
course material and video instruction as well. Fathers and teachers will benefit greatly by attending this course as they prepare to equip the next generation of citizens.

I want to thank you for making the lectures of Law Professor Colonel Eidsmoe and your own lectures available to me and my congregation. I have followed some of the many writings of Prof. Eidsmoe since the early 1980's when he was the legal adviser for Concerned Women of America. His encyclopedic knowledge of our US legal heritage needs to be gotten out to all US Christians so that they learn the wondrous accomplishments of our past and can pass on our legal heritage to their children.
